Welcome to Bromsgrove Ramblers
Bromsgrove Ramblers are part of The Ramblers Organisation and arrange 3 regular local led walks each month:
- one short ‘B Walk’ (about 4 – 6 miles) on the 1st Sunday;
- one long ‘A Walk’ (about 8 – 10 miles) on the 3rd Sunday ; and
- one shorter Walk which will have some point of interest and may end at a pub or tea room (about 3 – 4 miles) on the 2nd Thursday.
You just have to turn up and someone else will have done the hard yards of preparation and planning. All you then need to do is ‘follow my leader’ and make new friends along the way. They are a hardy bunch and walk out in most weather conditions. In addition to the walking there are also social events, such as summer Pub rambles, Quiz evenings, meals out and skittles nights.
If you are interested in joining a walk, then please just turn up at the meeting point for car sharing or start point and you will be made most welcome. It might be useful to contact the designated leader and advise him/her of your intention of joining the walk. Members from other Groups are always welcome. Once you have tried three walks with us you will be asked to become a member of The Ramblers.
The Ramblers helps everyone, everywhere, enjoy walking and protects the places we all love to walk. Set up in 1935, it is the only charity dedicated to looking after paths and green spaces, leading walks, opening up new places to explore and encouraging everyone to get outside and discover how walking boosts your health and your happiness. Walking comes with lots of benefits, and everyone should have the chance to enjoy them.
